Free food!

There’s no such thing as a free lunch, right?

On Tuesday I went downtown Seattle with a friend for a deal we heard about on Facebook and then followed through with on

There were 5 free food deals available, and we participated in all of them.

1. Free ice-cream cup or cone at Haagen-Dazs

Your standard small-size cup of ice-cream or a small regular cone. I had the mint chip and my friend had the brownie a la mode. We both got cups of ice-cream for easier walking-around and they were delicious. 🙂

2. Free Pupusa at Guanaco’s Tacos Pupuseria

I’m still not entirely sure what a Pupusa is. It, however, reminded me of two tortillas somehow held together (we both had the chicken and cheese option) and we used the green salsa that was provided. They were great and very filling.

3. Free Curry Fries at Bratz

The curry fries were interesting. They came with a red curry sauce which I wouldn’t normally associate with German food, but the fries were the perfect amount of salty. They were not very crispy, but then again we were walking for a long time before we got to open our to-go boxes and eat them.

4. Free Taiwan Style Milk Tea at Shinka Tea Company

We both chose the Jasmine tea. It was so good! Very refreshing after all the walking we had done. I would definitely recommend the Jasmine tea. Here we got a half-cup or “sampler” size tea.

5. Free Thai Iced Tea at Oasis Tea Zone

A free full-size tea! There was no choice of flavors, but what they gave us was great. This is super close to the University of Washington campus and I would recommend it for a quick place to get a drink. They also serve a variety of food including Asian foods as well as popcorn chicken.

Overall this was a great (and free!) way to experience new places in Seattle. All you have to do is go onto the munchonme website, sign up for the deal, and present the code to the vendors upon your arrival. Go see if it’s in your area! There are also discounts you can purchase to get regular fare cheaper. Happy eating!
